Academic Advising	Degree Audit Coding	SIS 08-2: May
There are several changes to improve the logic at work behind Investigate All Combinations. These delivered enhancements were directed at determination of best fit, functionality of local limits and functionality of derived lists in conjunction with Investigate All Combinations. These changes in logic will be invisible to end-users, but of help to degree audit coders.
Academic Advising	The Planner	SIS 08-2: May
The ability for students to attach text notes in the Planner has been added. Students may now create and associate a text note with any course in their Planner, or with any Term to which a course is assigned. As with other Planner functions, while staff may view the content, only students may create or edit notes.
Academic Advising	Advising Contacts Enhancements	SIS 08-2: May
1. When staff are entering information into an advising contact session, when enrollment planning for a specific term they have the ability to enter a class number and the system will now auto-fill and display a good deal of information associated with the class, and as always this information is viewable to the student via the student center. Information that now auto-fills for each class number is Subject, Catalog Number, Title, Units, Begin/End Dates of the class, Times, Days the class meets, and the Instructor (if in SIS). Thus advisors may create an enrollment plan for a student, with all recommended and alternate classes, which will now include complete class information, and which student and staff can later reference.

2. A new option for 'Athletic Advisement' has been added to the Purpose options that are associated with a meeting.

4. In the staff view of previous contacts, when a student has multiple contact rows, the name of the advisor who entered the note has been added to each row. This will provide a view of the advisors a student has seen, as well as help pinpoint a specific past meeting that staff may want to review.

One-time setup needed for Educational Testing Service to allow new data to be imported into SIS and reported on via the IUIE.

Repeat rules need to look backward and forward to correct false-positive repeat rule information appearing on students' records because of IPRP interaction with enrollment.

New advisor roles have been added to the Student Advisor page. Advisor data for students can be tracked historically by date or by active/inactive status.
Academic Advising	Course List in DPR	SIS 08-3: August
Course List Functionality has been improved. When a new effective-dated row is added to a Course List (yielding a total of two or more effective dated rows), and one or more new courses are added to the newly created effective-dated row, the last newly added course "disappeared" upon saving and must be re-added a second time. This bug has been corrected so the newly added course does not disappear. The proper way of adding a new effective-dated row to an existing Course List is to first "Fetch" the existing courses on the Course List and then add the new courses.

A number of improvements have been made to the new integrated degree audit for students; this report is currently available only to degree audit programmers, but it will replace the current degree progress report for students and staff in the February upgrade.

Add Correct History mode to two pages in Advising Contacts. Create audit trail for use of Correct History in Advising Contacts.
Academic Advising	Planner and Careers	SIS 08-4: December
When graduate students use the Planner they often plan only for undergraduate level courses for the first term or year. In this case, when the Planner is used to search for courses in the Shopping Cart, SIS would return an error message if the career level of at least one of the courses in the Planner did not match the student's career. After this fix, the Planner courses will appear in the Shopping Cart even if they don't match the student's career.

There has been an ongoing problem with student exceptions, that while they work, not all the information was appearing in the degree audit. This is fixed in this upgrade.
Academic Advising	Wildcards and Course lists in Degree Audit Programming	SIS 08-4: December
Oracle has made changes to the wildcard function in building courses lists so that it matches the Course Catalog. This will facilitate using direct wildcards in degree audit course lists when the Purdue course numbers are changed.

Update RAM posting job to include an update to ACAD_PLAN.
Admissions	FA Weeks of Instruction Statistics on Transfer, Test, and Other Credit	SIS 08-2: May
There will appear a new set of stats for transfer credit calculation to support new requirements for SMART/ACG grants. The proper settings for the calculation will default as new transfer credit is loaded into the SIS. No change in business process required.

Align the fields displayed on the parameters page for setting up the IU Mass Matriculation process.

Admissions	Purdue Course Renumbering Changes (Phase 1)	SIS 08-4: December
Need to address changes resulting from Purdue's new course numbering scheme which is moving from three characters to five. The first phase includes changes to the External Course Catalog which is used for transfer credit and updating current transfer credit rules for Purdue, so that they match the new course numbers.

On-Line Application will now record military status in SIS for those who complete that answer on the on-line application.

On 7/1/2008 IU East had five divisions change their names to schools: Nursing, Education, Humanities and Fine Arts (HFA) is combining with Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) to become Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), and Business & Economics (BEST) is changing to the School of Business (BUSE). These changes in academic structure primarily affect Admissions, Student Records, and Academic Advising areas, as well as, the transaction data for approximately two-thirds of the IU East student population.
